Electrician in Hagersville

Hagersville is on Highway 6 at the western end of Haldimand County. The former village is now a service centre for the rural area around it, as its weekday farmer's market shows. Among Haldimand's urban communities, the County's Official Plan expects only Caledonia to grow faster. The 2021 census counted 3,059 people and dated 510 of their homes, 39.5 percent, to 1960 or before. Another 20.9 percent were built from 1961 to 1980, and 67.4 percent of all homes were single-detached.

Hydro One is the electricity distributor in Haldimand County, Hagersville included. Ontario houses wired before about the mid-twentieth century can still have knob-and-tube wiring, and aluminum branch circuits went into some homes built in the mid-sixties to mid-seventies. Many insurers ask about both, and about a 60 amp service or a fuse panel. We repair old circuits and install bigger panels, which the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) then inspects. Hydro One disconnects the meter for the upgrade and reconnects it afterwards.

Most of Haldimand County is farmland, and across Ontario, power on long rural lines tends to take longer to come back. On a lot with a well or cistern, the pump stops too. An automatic transfer switch can start a standby generator within seconds and hand it the circuits you choose, the pump among them. Our team has over 20 years of experience across Hamilton and Niagara, and we price work at a flat rate, agreed before it begins.
