Generac automatic transfer switches for homes

Generac's support article on the question says cUL, cETL and CSA marks are interchangeable, and that a switch's spec sheet lists its cETL certification. The spec sheets linked on this page print the mark for each model, such as cETLus or ETLus. A service entrance rated switch has its own service disconnect breaker, so it can sit right after the meter and act as the home's main disconnect. Fitting one means working at the meter, and the local utility has to cut and restore the supply for that.
